The Process
As a bespoke service, each design our landscapers produce has its own unique qualities. However, to uphold the unrivalled standards of workmanship for which we are known in Kent, your project will undergo the following tried-and-tested process.
1. Inspiration and Concept
During an initial consultation at your property, we listen to the ideas and concepts that inspire your vision. We will clarify how you intend to use your garden, as well as any must-have features and dislikes. If you have any images of similar gardens that you like, this is the time to share them.
At this stage, our team will also walk around your current garden to assess what is and isn’t possible. Aspects we consider include site dimensions, views, levels, soil type and access points. We will also ask you to confirm your available budget.
2. Planing and Design
Accurate scaled plans are integral to successful garden design projects. In order to produce yours, we need to carry out a full site survey of your current space. If you already have plans, we will advise whether they are sufficient to proceed.
The information collected during the survey allows us to draw up a detailed plan based on the ideas and concepts you shared during the initial consultation. This includes construction drawings, where required, as well as details about the colours, styles and textures of your soft and hard landscaping features.
3. Planting Plans and Sourcing
To deliver successful soft landscaping elements, we draw up a detailed planting plan. This takes into account the environmental conditions of your area, such as the microclimate, soil type and aspect. We then select plants that both complement the agreed design and provide year-round interest.
Our team also sources the necessary hard landscaping materials from our trusted suppliers. For paving, we use Marshalls, London Stone and Stonecraft, while we source decking from Cladco.
4. Garden Build
On the agreed date, our landscapers will arrive promptly to begin the physical garden build. We recognise that we are working at your home, so we take every possible step to minimise disruption. Our team works with the level of respect, care and professionalism we would expect ourselves.
